When this novel was started, pandemic plagues were on-and-off media beat-ups. SARS, bird-flu, equine virus....

But here we are, trying to decide if the H1N1 flu is yet another opportunity to sell fear and therefore newspapers, or something to be worried about.

The Jetty Journals isn't about swine flu, but it assumes the worst...the pandemic is quick, lethal and uncontained, spreading rapidly from country to country. The virus changes people, (and dogs), turns them into dangerous aggressors.

What would you do? Could you survive a plague like this?
